Post Modern Post Secret Post Er Boy

O.K. I just threw in "Post Modern" to sound smart. I don't even know what it means. Apparently I don't understand the concept of PostSecret either. They have rejected all of my submissions.

According to the website "PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard."

They hate me, but hopefully you don't as much.

Please Keep My Secrets.

I'll miss you.

Say hello to the kiddies for me.

Postmodernism is a cop-out for those who don't want to commit to a point of view.

I hope that Frank doesn't sue you! (He seems nice, so don't sweat too much.)

Now I just have to figure out how to deal with a week without irony.

Post-anything (modernism, structuralism, colonialism, cereals) is a cop-out term academics use when trying to analyse a time period before it's sufficiently over and distant enough to make such analysis effective.

Squish squish...the lack of irony will make me anemic..

Perhaps some glitter on your postcards would entice the publishers? I like the real flame, but maybe that's not what they're looking for in "multi-media." You obviously need to "dumb down" your genius to really WOW the judges.

I saw the author of that book at Barnes and Noble. He lives by me. He was there to sign his book and talk about it(which if you haven't seen it is just a copy of his blog-filled with the postcards). Hardly anyone came. I wasn't there to see him, it was just a coincidence. I didn't stay. I felt sorry for him. Don't feel too bad about your postcard.

two possible
aa. post-modern ... it happened and only you (being the person standing there) missed it, moron. an expression for when your parents didn't tell you that you screwed up one more time. someone who was very insecure probably came up with it.
bb. post-modern ... it was the 'fad' that happened while you were on vacation and didn't watch american idol for a couple of weeks!
glad to have randomly stopped by once again! great blog.
p.s. just goes to show you there is such a place called texarkana ... my husband didn't believe i got pulled over there once in one of my past lives!
peace & harmony,

Post Modern Post Secret Post Er Boy is a survey of current work by Justin Khan, who embraces surfaces not merely as a support for paint or pencil, but as part of the sculptural whole. In it, Kahn pushes the boundaries of this highly flexible and handy material--any available surface--to prove that art can be both delicate and lasting (op cit: "Poopsicles", or evidence of charred remains). The resulted is an oeuvre of dazzling technique—some works exhibited a remarkable ability to emulate objects we would not otherwise associate with such an ephemeral medium (op cit, "Concept of Irony," pencil on napkin?), while in others he clearly relishes the exceptional formal variety that can be achieved with a material we take for granted everyday (ibid, "Poopsicles"). All that's left for this reviewr to ask is, any relation to Louis I?

So...could you get angry at PostSecret and make it burst into flames? It would not resolve the issue, but it might make you feel better. Afterwards, you can go out for Poopsicles!
