I log on to ebay. Journal to Stella is set to end in fifteen minutes. Refresh: The highest bid is ten pounds. Refresh, refresh, refresh: ten pounds. I sit patitently. Five minutes remaining. I bid twelve pounds. I have no idea how much a pound is. Lousy not the dollar. One minute later I recieve an email that says "punkface67" outbid me. I lost! With a feeling like a sick qualm, as though I would like to make my way out of the crowd and go home, I staked another five pounds. I was the highest bidder! Two minutes remaing. I click refresh, refresh, refresh. It's mine! It's going to be mine: Refresh, refresh, refresh: You are no longer the highest bidder. Swift Student_3000 has outbid you.
I place my bid.
This auction has ended.
Refresh, Refresh, Refresh: NO! NO! NO!
I search. There is another auction for Journals to Stella. It is just beginning. 6 days remaining.
I click refresh.
(Due to my new found problem....)

Ooohhhh, that's happened to me WAY too many times....
A pound? About 1.72 dollars.
Enjoy.
I've given up great plans to stay with an Ebay bid. Things that will probably end up in a tag sale 5 years from now.
