Meteorological Excerpts from Justin Kahn’s “My Life” in Honor of the First Snow in Cleveland

When I was but a wee child, I asked my mom where rain came from.
She told me it was the overflow of God crying.
“Why is God crying?” I asked.
“Probably because of something you did” She would say.

*

Today it isn’t raining it is snowing.
When I was but a wee child, I asked my mom where snow came from.
“Shut the @#$% up," she would say.

*

Sometimes when I look out the window, and I see Weather, it makes me think about just how wonderful life is.

Sorry you had such an awful mother. She was probably an only child & never learned to relate to children. Seems like you turned out ok in spite of her.
